Calls & call handling
Why can't I call international numbers?
Cradle restricts outbound calls to a list of countries by default. Here's how to ask for a country to be added, and the rule for calling China.
Cradle restricts outbound calls to a list of countries by default. This stops accidental, expensive, or fraudulent calls. If a country isn't on your account's allowed list, you'll see a message saying you don't have permission to call it.
If you need a country added, ask us, it's a short request.
Request a new country
Open the Ask Cradle chat (the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of any Cradle page) and tell us:
- Which country.
- Why you need to call there.
- Roughly how often.
The chat will pass the request to our team and we'll come back to you.
Per-minute rates
Some countries incur a per-minute rate. The pricing page doesn't list every destination, so the quickest way to get a current rate is to ask in chat, we'll come back with the rate for the country you need.
Why can't I call China specifically?
Calls to China are subject to local regulation that we can only enable on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you need to call China, we may be able to put a case together to have it enabled on your account.
The minimum requirement for putting a case together is that the calls need to be at least three minutes on average.
